Official Institutional Profile of the Green University Foundation

The Green University Foundation is a non-profit organization registered under Dutch law and listed with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 55742092 since 2012.

The Foundation works to promote environmental awareness and foster a culture of sustainable development through educational programs, research activities, and community initiatives aimed at protecting natural resources and supporting environmentally responsible practices.

It also seeks to build bridges between cultures and civilizations—particularly between the Global North and South—and to promote universal human values, including freedom, tolerance, peace, cooperation among nations, and peaceful coexistence. The Foundation places special emphasis on supporting arts and literature as essential pillars for elevating consciousness and building a balanced and harmonious society.

The Green University Foundation aspires to become a global leader in environmental innovation and intercultural dialogue, serving as a reference center that strengthens sustainability, protects the environment, and contributes to a more harmonious and open world where cultures intersect and the arts flourish as bridges of understanding and coexistence.

Who Are We?

The Green University Foundation was established by a group of academics and civil society activists.

Among its founders is:

  • Drs. Khaled Chouket – former minister and member of parliament, also a renowned author, media professional, and human rights activist.
  • Professor Mnaouer Djemali – leading scientist in animal genetics, university lecturer in biodiversity and genetics, and author of numerous scientific publications.
  • Ms. Medalela Ben Dhaou – human rights and civil society activist, and Executive Director of the All-Ons Training and Development Center.

In addition, other nationally and internationally renowned people also contributed to the establishment of the foundation.

Our Activities:

The Green University’s initiatives include cultural, artistic, literary, and scientific activities aimed at upholding the institution’s stated mission and strengthening its vision regarding human issues at all levels—local, national, and international. The team announces each program or activity individually once it is ready, whether on the website or on the institution’s social media pages.
