Official Institutional Profile of the Green University Foundation

Registered non-profit organization since 2012 (KvK 55742092). The foundation promotes environmental awareness, sustainable development, and intercultural dialogue, with a focus on protecting natural resources, art, and literature. Its goal is to become a world leader in environmental innovation and a reference center for sustainability and cultural cooperation.

Who Are We?

The Green University Foundation was founded by academics and social activists, including Drs. Khaled Chouket (former minister and member of parliament), Professor Mnaouer Djemali (scientist in animal genetics and biodiversity), and Medalela Ben Dhaou (human rights and civic activist, director of the Al-Ons Center). Other nationally and internationally recognized experts also contributed to its establishment.

Our Mission

The Green University Foundation aims to raise environmental awareness and promote a culture of sustainable development through educational programs, research activities, and community initiatives that contribute to the protection of natural resources. The foundation also seeks to build bridges between cultures and civilizations—particularly between the Global North and South—and to promote universal human values, including freedom, tolerance, peace, international cooperation, and peaceful coexistence. Additionally, it supports art and literature as essential pillars for raising awareness and fostering a balanced and harmonious society.

To be a leading global platform for environmental innovation and intercultural dialogue, and a reference center that promotes sustainable development while reinforcing the values of freedom, tolerance, peace, and cooperation among peoples. The foundation strives to contribute to the realization of a more harmonious and open world—a world in which the environment is protected, cultures connect, and art and literature flourish as bridges of understanding and peaceful coexistence.
